I am writing to let you know I am strongly opposed to placing homeless camps next door to preschools, elementary schools, and nursing homes. I encourage you to please consider the devastating effect this could have on our community and the loss of funding that will occur if parents avoid James John Elementary as a result of the relocation of Hazelnut Grove nearby. James John is a Title I school serving mostly low-income students of color who deserve a comparable education with what white children in more affluent neighborhoods receive."
